Growing Leaders, Rooted in Community - A Short Documentary on Three Sisters Gardens

Special thanks to Department of Sound (DOS) Indigenous Activism Podcast/Digital Series in collaboration with Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation for creating such a beautiful documentary to ripple our story out into the world.

DOS is a growing youth-centered nonprofit dedicated to using sound, storytelling, and creativity to support mental health, cultural connection, and creative career exploration. Through their Sound Mind Initiative curriculum, they were able to reach over 400 youth across Yolo last year, proving Summer workshops at five school sites within Washington Unified School District and Esparto Elementary, and supported community pop-up events including the Davis Family Fun Fest, Yolo County Fair, Celebrate Davis, and Esparto Elementary’s CTE Night over the past two years. These experiences significantly expanded their visibility and continued to strengthen their connections within surrounding communities
